Buhari has close relationship with Christians –Ngige

The Senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Anambra Central Senatorial district, Senator Chris Ngige,  described allegations that the party’s presidential candidate, Major Gen Buhari (rtd) hates the Igbo as mere political deceit.
Addressing supporters at Enugwu- Ukwu and Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state Senator Ngige said that the APC presidential candidate Gen. Mohammadu Buhari from all indications, had demonstrated his love for Christians and had maintained closed relationship with them.

Ngige who has in the past few days, been on tour of communities in the senatorial zone, commissioning various constituency projects he executed, pointed out that one of General Buhari’s daughters was married to an Igbo Christian from Uke in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
Also, he said that both Buhari’s personal driver and cook are Christians and he has never tried to convert them to Islam, adding that the former head of state believes in circular worship among Nigerians.
Senator Ngige also described the statement by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that  APC was a Muslim party as a blatant lie aimed at deceiving people, pointing out that it was the PDP that could be associated with Muslims because its national chairman, Adamu Muazu was a Muslim.
He allayed the fear being propagated by PDP that  if Buhari was elected as president, he would Islamise Nigeria, pointing out that if he did not do so as head of state, it was obvious that he will not have such agenda.
While assuring people that victory for APC  at various levels would ensure that the holes in the nation’s treasury are plugged, Ngige noted with dismay that despite several years of PDP administration, the nation was yet to have adequate electricity supply to power the industries and boost the economy, while the urban centres lack portable water.
“Buhari is coming to stop corruption among Nigerian leaders and that is what PDP is running away from” he said.

The council is made up of directors and we have about eight directorates plus the 17, which adds up to about 25 persons, who were inaugurated. The response was quite wonderful considering the excitements on their faces. They were all eager, pushing to go and start work immediately”, Ndukwe said.
He stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  is living in the past, adding that the 2015 election will  be very different.
“It will not be an all-comers’ affair as they used to do their rigging, it will be very difficult for PDP to rig this time because we are ready for them. We will monitor our votes, nobody can rig this election, except somebody who does not want peace in Nigeria”, Ndukwe warned
He advised the electorate to come out en-mass and  vote adding that after voting, they should  protect their votes.    “After voting, they should stay there until their votes are counted. We have our monitors who will equally see that the elections are not rigged, Abia electorates should turn out on mass” he said.
