Police nab man recording arrest of okada rider

After a male and a female Police officers were caught on tape doing what they know how to do best,Policemen for Naija don dey fear now oooooo.Read what they did to this man who tried to video tape them....

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a medical representative, Gregory Muonylilo, for allegedly video recording policemen who were arresting a commercial motorcyclist.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect was arrested at the Amuwo Odofin area of the state by policemen attached to Area E Command.
The policemen were said to have attempted to arrest a commercial motorcyclist for breaking the traffic law, while the suspect was recording the incident.
The suspect’s brother, Onyeka, said, “Apparently the policemen set up a checkpoint in front of his office yesterday (Monday) and were harassing okada riders. He started recording it
“The policemen saw him and became agitated. They collected his phone and left.”
“They came back around 4pm, arrested him and took him to their station.
“From Amuwo Odofin, they took him to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, where he was detained.”
PUNCH Metro learnt that ever since the dismissal of a police sergeant, Chris Omeleze, who was caught on camera demanding bribe from a motorist, policemen have become paranoid about people recording their activities.
When contacted on the telephone, Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, denied claims that the policemen were harassing the okada rider.
She also debunked claims that the victim was taken to SARS.  She said he was taken to the X-Squad Department
She said, “The policemen were on legal duty and they had apprehended an okada rider for riding on a restricted route. I spoke to the man who was arrested and he never told me that the policemen were asking for bribe from the commercial motorcyclist they were trying to arrest. The man was recording and we do not know his motive.”

North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, publicly executes ex-girlfriend

On August 8th, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was in the audience to applaud his ex-girlfriend Hyon Song- wol (right), a singer with the Unhasu National Orchestra. 9 days later a group of artists were arrested for allegedly making a sex tape. His ex was one of them. They were publicly executed by firing squad on August 20th, while their families were condemned to a labor camp.

From Asia News
The North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un ordered the public execution of his ex-girlfriend Hyon Song- wol, accused of 'pornography' with a group of artists from the National Orchestra of Unhasu, which his current wife Ri Sol -ju also once belonged to. The arrest took place on August 17, the execution took place in public three days later. According to the indictment the women filmed themselves having sex and then sold the videos in China. Some South Korean sources claim that there were many Christians among those sentenced to death who had a Bible at home, a "crime" that you can pay for with your life or imprisonment in a state gulag in North Korea.
Those shot to death include Mun Kyong -jin, director of the Unhasu orchestra, some singers and dancers of Wangjaesan Light Music Band and some army musicians. All family members of the women involved were sentenced to forced labor. According to the Juche ( the delusional state doctrine conceived by the " father of the nation " Kim Il -sung ) is not enough to punish those guilty of a crime, but it is necessary to eradicate the evil " for three generations . " Every year, on the basis of this principle, thousands of children are born in labor camps and live there until their death.

The "Young Marshal " Kim Jong-un , the third son and heir of the "dear leader" Kim Jong -il, met Hyon about ten years ago . After a brief "official" relationship, the engagement was broken by the father of the dictator and the singer was given in marriage to a military man, while the "third Kim " met his present wife . According to various sources, the two have continued to see each other even after their marriages. The public execution is thus seen as a victory of the "Companion" Ri, who gave two sons to the current dictator and wants to ensure their survival in one of the most cruel dynasties in today's world.

On 8 August, the dictator took part in a concert performed by the now decimated orchestra. The execution is viewed by some analysts as a sign of affirmation of his power: " Kim Jong-un is cruelly eliminating anyone who might be a threat to his rule, anyone who can defy authority. Public executions are silencing anyone who even thinks of undermining him .

Western Union Launches Mobile Money Service In Nigeria

Western Union has partnered with an African payment processing specialist, eTranzact, to launch a mobile money service in Nigeria.

The US-based company believes the facility will help boost financial inclusion and provide a more convenient means of money transfer for Nigerians, and the entire Africa.

Nigeria mobile phone penetration rate stands at 70.64 percent, as of June 2013, according to figures provided by Informa’s World Cellular Information Service.

In contrast, just 21 percent of the country’s population has a bank account, according to the World Bank.

The financial service company hopes to bridge this divide by providing users with a mobile platform to pay bills, purchase merchandizes online, top up mobile credit and make third party transfers.

“We are very pleased to launch our new relationship with eTranzact to increase the number of access points for consumers to use our services worldwide, facilitate financial inclusion, and provide convenient mobile solutions for those who want new methods for money transfer transactions,” said Aida Diarra, Vice President for North, Central and West Africa at Western Union.

The global money transfer service embarked on a recent multichannel approach, after being criticized by stakeholders for it’s over reliance on an agent model in providing financial services.

Amongst its recent strategies is the partnership with eTranzact: the collaboration allows customers of the eTranzact Mobile Money platform, PocketMoni, to interact with Western Union on their mobile phones, receiving Western Union mobile money transfer from 23 ‘sender’ countries around the world.

“We are excited to work with Western Union and leverage the power of their global network on behalf of consumers across Nigeria,” said Valentine Obi, chief executive at eTranzact.

PocketMoni is a mobile payment solution designed to allow users conduct financial transactions anytime, anywhere, from your phone.

Wedding Boasts Of 80 Bridesmaids

Some brides skip having bridesmaids because they are so concerned about hurting their loved ones' feelings. Katie Dalby, 26, chose another route for her wedding to firefighter Norman Gooch on Saturday: She brought along 80 attendants. When Dalby, who owns Katie's Boogie Shoes Dance Academy in Harwich, England, told her students about her engagement over a year ago, she says they were superexcited and some were begging to be included in the wedding. "It just couldn't have been fair to choose two or three of them," Dalby told the Daily Mail. "So the only solution was to invite 74 of them-I didn't want to exclude anyone." She also asked her best friend, three sisters-in-law, a niece, and a cousin. "It made my day more special."

40 Pythons Found In Canadian Hotel

Little more than a week after a giant python crushed two young Canadian boys to death, police have recovered 40 of the snakes from a hotel room.

The reptiles were found in several plastic storage bins on Thursday night in a room in Brantford, Ontario, where a

Officers have opened a probe into the incident but they did not say where the couple were at the time or whether the pair would be charged with breaking local laws that prohibit owning pythons.

The snakes, which ranged in length from 30 centimeters to 1.4 meters, were in poor health and have been taken in by the Canadian Society for the Protection of Animals, where a veterinarian is monitoring them.

The find comes 11 days after Connor and Noah Barthe, aged six and four respectively, died in the eastern town of Campbellton, New Brunswick when an African python escaped from its terrarium and killed them.

The boys had been enjoying a sleepover with a friend, whose father's private menagerie of exotic animals included the python.

Animal experts expressed astonishment at the tragedy, many of them noting that, while an African rock python is a dangerous animal capable of killing large prey, it would not normally attack humans.

The initial police investigation found that the snake probably managed to break out of its terrarium and then nosed through a ventilation duct which led into the boys' bedroom.

Cameroon’s President Orders Pentecostal Churches Closed

If these churches are closed on the basis of the false preaching and teachings, then I commend President Paul Biya for his actions.

The progress comes just two months after the groundbreaking study by Dr Irv Weissman, who developed an antibody that breaks down a cancer's defense mechanisms in the body.

A protein called CD47 tells the body not to "eat" the cancer, but the antibody developed by Dr Weissman blocks CD47 and frees up immune cells called macrophages — which can then engulf the deadly cells.

Samsung Banned From Selling Some Phones In U.S.

Apple (AAPL, Fortune 500) alleged that several Samsung products infringe on its patents. Apple originally filed this lawsuit against Samsung in 2011, and it's just one of dozens of ongoing patent lawsuits currently being waged between the tech titans across the globe.

In this latest case, the International Trade Commission ruled in favor of Apple. The commission said Samsung products infringed on two Apple patents, one for touchscreen multitouch and another related to headset plug detection. The court ruled Samsung did not infringe on four other patents listed in Apple's claim.

The ITC banned Samsung from importing or selling some devices that infringe on the Apple patents. While the devices Apple mentioned in the case are older Samsung products -- like the Galaxy Tab 7 tablet and the Continuum smartphone -- the ITC's ruling could have implications for phones currently on the market that use the same technology.
