US Raid On Al Shabaab Camp 'killed 150 militants'

The militants were about to conduct a "large-scale attack" when they were "eliminated" in an airstrike, an official says.
Al Shabaab terroristsA US airstrike on an Al Shabaab training camp in Somalia is believed to have killed 150 militants, according to the Pentagon.
The camp, about 120 miles (195km) north of the capital Mogadishu, was hit by missiles fired from drones and manned aircraft over the weekend.
"The fighters were there training and were training for a large-scale attack. We know they were going to be departing the camp and they posed an imminent threat to US and (African Union) forces," Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said.

"Initial assessments are that more than 150 terrorist fighters were eliminated," he added.
The camp, where about 200 Al Shabaab fighters were believed to be training, had been monitored for several weeks before the attack.

Vanessa Trump, a former model and actress, and Trump Jr. said in a joint statement on Thursday: "After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways."

The statement was provided by the Trump Organization, the president's business empire, which his son helps manage.


Further details were not immediately available on the uncontested divorce filing by Vanessa Trump in a New York state court. She and Trump Jr. have "enormous respect" for each other, according to the joint statement, which also asked for privacy.
