Troops displace insurgents from Shehu’s palace

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday said it had displaced the dreaded Boko Haram sect from the palace of the Shehu of Dikwa, Alhaji Mohammed El-Kanemi, which was hitherto used as a training site by the insurgents after the monarch was displaced some months ago.
The Army, in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 7 Division, Maiduguri, Col. Tukur Gusau, said that 30 persons were rescued from Dikwa during the latest operation.
He said, “Our troops discovered a training shed inside the vandalised and looted palace of the Shehu of Dikwa where recruits were taught how to handle weapons.”
Gusau said apart from the recovery of the palace, the troops were able to rescue 30 victims from the insurgents.
He said, “As a result of ongoing operations to clear Dikwa and its environs of Boko Haram terrorists, the troops of 7 Division, Nigerian Army, yesterday (Monday) rescued 30 Internally Displaced Persons from the hands of the terrorists in Kwayabe and Wufe wards in Dikwa LGA of Borno State.”
He revealed that those rescued were 21 children, a six-day-old infant and seven women.

Further details were not immediately available on the uncontested divorce filing by Vanessa Trump in a New York state court. She and Trump Jr. have "enormous respect" for each other, according to the joint statement, which also asked for privacy.
